Mundelein man to get award
Mundelein resident Emmet Weidman will receive a Good Neighbor Award at tonight’s village board meeting for his efforts during an Oct. 31 gas-main leak. Weidman noticed the leak while walking his dog and then notified nearby residents of the danger, according to a proclamation that will be read tonight. He escorted one of them to safety. Tonight’s meeting is set for 7 p.m. at the main fire station, 1000 N. Midlothian Road.
