Suburban man charged with threatening Cook County sheriff
A Franklin Park man has been charged with threatening a public official and cyber stalking following six months of threatening emails to Cook County Sheriff Tom Dart, his office said in a statement released Saturday morning. Steven Cleary, 49, was arrested Friday afternoon.
The statement says Dart began receiving emailed death threats in early May. Cleary’s correspondence in recent days included specific threats to Dart’s life, the statement said.
