Meat lover begs to differ with letter

In reference to the Oct. 31 letter, “Shivering in fright over meat industry,” I eat beef. I grew up on a central Illinois farm that had 200 Angus cows. They were treated well. In the June issue of Smithsonian magazine was an article, “The Mind on Fire.” The premise of the article is we are humans because we learned to make fires and cook meat. That is me. If not you, just eat cornbread for the rest of your life. That will not be very long.
