Marathon spectator spots
Aside from the start/finish line on the North Central College campus at Porter Avenue and Loomis Street, the city of Naperville suggests race spectators use these three locations to cheer on runners. All have handicapped accessible parking. Maps of spectator locations are available at naperville.il.us/napervillemarathon.aspx.
1. Meadow Glens Park, 1303 Muirhead Avenue
Marathoners pass a few blocks south on Bailey Road.
2. River Woods Elementary, 2607 River Woods Drive
Police will help spectators cross Naper Boulevard to see marathon runners pass by.
3. Veterans Park, 303 E. Gartner Road
Runners in both the half marathon and marathon cross just west of the park along the DuPage River Trail.
