Oak Brook bank robbed

Oak Brook police continue to investigate a Tuesday afternoon bank robbery.

About 2:45 p.m., a man entered the Fifth Third Bank branch at 16th Street and Route 83 and demanded money from a teller’s drawer, according to a release. The man left the bank heading west and was last seen at the Wheaton train station, possibly heading to Chicago, police said.

He is described as a white man, 30 to 40 years old, about 5 foot 7 inches tall, and was last seen wearing a green jacket, scarf, green plaid hat, gloves and mirrored sunglasses.

The FBI, DuPage County sheriff’s office and Oakbrook Terrace police are assisting Oak Brook police with the investigation.
