Sticker shock on health insurance

Obama promised that our medical insurance premium would not go up under his new health care act. Well, he lied or he was totally misinformed.

My wife, an individual purchaser of medical insurance from BCBS, was just informed that her premiums would increase from $280 to $540 per month.

I called Congressman Schneider’s Washington and Libertyville offices to complain. Both people that I spoke to were nice and wanted to be helpful but were unsympathetic to my dilemma.

Their advice was to drop BCBS and enter the exchanges. That would cause me to make changes that the president said we wouldn’t have to make.

Sticker shock is here folks. Why won’t the Daily Herald report on it? Will this pave the way for the return of Robert Dold?
