State treasurer in North Barrington today

The Illinois state treasurer’s office will help local residents learn whether they have any unclaimed cash or property held by the state from 4 to 5:30 p.m. today, Oct. 24, in the lower level of North Barrington village hall, 111 Old Barrington Road in North Barrington.

The state currently has $1.7 billion in cash, plus contents from Illinois bank safe deposit boxes, which need to be returned to Illinois residents. You may have unclaimed property that the treasurer’s office can find for you.

Illinois State Treasurer Dan Rutherford will be present from 5 to 5:30 p.m.
