Georgia man killed by truck in Bartlett

A man was killed after being hit by a dump truck Wednesday morning in Bartlett, according to police.

The crash occurred around 10:50 a.m. at the intersection of Route 20 and Oak Avenue.

The truck was traveling east on Route 20 when it hit Justin Brown, 29, of Georgia.

Bartlett police Sgt. Geoff Pretkelis said it is not clear if Brown intentionally walked in front of the truck.

Brown was taken to St. Alexius Medical Center in Hoffman Estates, where he was pronounced dead at 4:45 p.m.

Police closed down Route 20 between North Bartlett Road and Park Boulevard for approximately three hours to investigate the crash.

No citations have been issued.
