Girls volleyball/Fox Valley roundup

Carly Nolan had 11 kills and 10 digs and Avalon Nero added 8 kills, 2 blocks and 9 digs as the Crystal Lake South girls volleyball team rolled to a 25-15, 25-20 win over Prairie Ridge Tuesday night to wrap up a flawless Fox Valley Conference Valley Division season.

Hannah Wilson added 10 digs and Cassy Sivesind had 20 assists and 6 digs for the Gators (31-3, 12-0), who didn’t lose a single set in FVC Valley play this season.

CL South will play at crosstown rival Crystal Lake Central on Thursday in the FVC crossover championship game.

Huntley d. McHenry: Erin Erb had 8 kills and Rachel Shores 10 digs to lead the Red Raiders (21-13, 7-5) to a 25-11, 25-19 FVC Valley win. Kelsey DeWulf added 19 assists and Brittney Gundlach had 3 kills for Huntley.

Burlington Central d. Marengo: Makenna Jensen had 14 kills and 3 blocks and Jenna Schudel added 11 kills to lead the Rockets (23-11, 11-1) to a 25-18, 23-25, 25-15 Big Northern East win and a share of the conference title. Mackenzie Whitmer had 41 assists for BC and Allie O’Reilly 23 digs.

St. Charles North d. Streamwood: Andrea Prytulak had 8 digs and Mercedes Olmos added 7 for Streamwood in its 25-11, 25-8 Upstate Eight River loss. Kaitlyn Hedger had 5 digs and 2 kills for the Sabres.
