Harper men advance; women bow out

Goals have been a tough thing to come by this season for the Harper College men’s soccer team — against most opponents, that is.

In 11 games, the Hawks have scored 23 goals, and 17 of them came against Harpper’s NJCAA Region IV quarterfinal opponent on Saturday, Milwaukee Area Technical College.

Harper (3-8) earned a 7-0 victory to earn a spot in Saturday’s regional semifinal round as Milwaukee Tech ended the season with a 1-10 record.

Ÿ The Harper women’s soccer team saw its season come to an end in Glen Ellyn, where College of DuPage prevailed 6-0.

The Chaparrals (13-5) are ranked No. 9 in the NJCAA national poll.

Harper finished its season with a 5-3 record.
