Low vision products road show stopping in Schaumburg Twp.

The Chicago Lighthouse is bringing its free Low Vision Products Road Show to the Schaumburg Township building, 1 Illinois Blvd. in Hoffman Estates, on Oct. 22. From 10 a.m.-3 p.m., people with low vision can try out products designed to improve efficiency in reading, writing, cooking and other daily tasks. Products range from talking clocks to desktop magnifiers, and all products on display will be available to buy. There also will be demonstrations of electronic magnification tools, voice-prompted GPS devices, portable reading instruments and other new technology.
