Schaumburg school hosts Fall into Math and Science Night

Buzz Aldrin Elementary School in Schaumburg is holding a “Fall into Math and Science Night” from 6 to 7 p.m. Oct. 24 to give students and their families a chance to participate in hands-on, engaging math and science activities that are fun.

Classroom teachers, fine arts teachers and bilingual resource teachers have come together to provide students of all ages rich experiences — some offered in Spanish as well as English. The youngest students will be creating scarecrows from geometric shapes and counting the rhythm as they sing some fall songs for their families. Other sessions will focus on activities where students are acting as statisticians, candy worms are coming alive, and students are using toothpaste in combination with pumpkins for surprising effects.

Aldrin school is located at 617 Boxwood Drive.
