Suburban pianist to perform solo at Roosevelt University's Oct. 22 PianoFest

Six student pianists in Roosevelt University's Chicago College of Performing Arts (CCPA) have been selected for showcase performances on opening night of the fifth annual weeklong PianoFest being held Oct. 22-26 in the University's seventh-floor Ganz Hall, 430 S. Michigan Ave., Chicago.

The festival's Opening Night: Piano Showcase Recital, which is free and open to the public, will be held at 7:30 p.m.

One of the student performers is Stephen Uhl, a Bensenville resident and organist for Prince of Peace Lutheran Church in Schaumburg. Uhl, a first-year Master of Music student at Roosevelt's Chicago College of Performing Arts, is the recipient of the college's Collaborative Piano Assistantship. He will perform Four Interemezzi, Op. 116 by Brahms.
