Three who died in Aurora crash identified
Authorities have released the names of the three people who died over the weekend from injuries suffered during a head-on collision in Aurora.
The deadly crash happened about 11:50 p.m. Sunday on Route 25, south of Hazel Avenue, when a northbound 2007 Dodge Charger struck a southbound 2006 Chrysler Town & Country minivan carrying seven members of a Montgomery family.
Oscar Rodriquez, the 28-year-old Aurora man driving the Charger, and Andrea Moyotl, 77, of Montgomery, both died at the scene, authorities said. Moyotl was one of the minivan passengers.
Another minivan passenger, 57-year-old Rosa Cuanetel of Montgomery, died at a hospital.
Five others who were inside the minivan were injured, including the vehicle’s 17-year-old driver. One victim, a 10-year-old boy, is listed in critical but stable condition at Loyola University Medical Center in Maywood, police said.
Police on Tuesday didn’t release any additional details about the crash. They are asking for help in piecing together the cause of the accident.
