Fiery crash claims at least 1 in Glenview

At least one person was killed Tuesday in a crash involving a garbage truck in Glenview at Harlem Avenue and Harrison Street, ABC 7 reported on its website. The garbage truck was headed north on Harlem Avenue when it struck a passenger vehicle headed east on Harrison Street around 12:40 p.m. Both vehicles caught fire, police said, and the front wheels of the garbage truck sat a foot above the ground. The wreckage was so burned it was hard to tell how many people were inside the passenger vehicle, ABC 7 reported. But no one inside survived, officials said.
