Schaumburg HS football hosting fundraiser to support former student with ALS

Schaumburg Saxon Football is hosting “Fight Like a Champion Night” in support of alumnus Eric Von Schaumburg on Friday, Oct. 25, during the football game at Schaumburg High School at 1100 W. Schaumburg Road. Schaumburg was diagnosed with ALS, or Lou Gehrig’s disease, in June. Students and community members can purchase T-shirts and raffle tickets online to help support Eric. T-shirts are available for $10 online before Thursday, Oct. 17, by visiting janorsports.net and using the password FLC. They can be picked up starting at 4 p.m. on the night of the game. Prizes in the fundraiser’s 50/50 raffle include Bears club level tickets and Blackhawks suite tickets. All proceeds will go toward Eric’s medical expense fund.
