Author Maggie Anton to speak at Beth Judea

At 8 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 23, the Sisterhood of Congregation Beth Judea will welcome author Maggie Anton for a discussion of her books “Rav Hisda’s Daughter: Book 1-Apprentice, Love, Talmud and Sorcery in Third Century Babylonia” and “Rashi’s Daughter.”

Anton is an award-winning author of historical fiction and a Talmud scholar, with expertise in Jewish women’s history.

This discussion is open to members for $5 and nonmembers for $10.
