Thanks to all who helped health expo

On behalf of the Hanover Township officials, staff and volunteers, I would like to thank the residents, event sponsors and vendors for their support and attendance at the “Just for the Health of It” health and wellness expo held at the township on Sept. 19.

Over 800 residents participated in this great event. For the past six years Hanover Township has had the privilege to host and coordinate the expo with Victory Centre of Bartlett and Cook County Commissioner Timothy O. Schneider.

This annual event allows residents the opportunity to put their health first and learn the different ways to support and better their lifestyles. Attendees were able to participate in various health screenings at little or no cost.

Residents do not need to wait until mid-September every year to receive health services. The Hanover Township Office of Community Health offers health screenings, programs and consultations daily at their main office in Bartlett and at community clinics throughout the Township.

Last year, Township nurses provided over 1,300 screenings and saw over 600 residents at neighborhood clinics. Help us help our community by spreading the word with your family, friends and neighbors that are residents of Hanover Township.

To learn more about the community health services offered by Hanover Township, call (630) 483-5665 or visit www.hanover-township.org.

Thank you again to everyone who participated in the 2013 “Just for the Health of It” health and wellness expo.

Hanover Township trustee
