Wireless Soul to headline Music Festival for Salvation Army

Chicagoland's premier youth rock band, Wireless Soul, is no stranger to helping kids in their community. In February Wireless Soul headlined a show to benefit Youth Services of Glenview/Northbrook donating all the proceeds from the sale of their first single off their upcoming debut album back to Youth Services. This Saturday, October 5th Wireless Soul will take it on the road to Kankakee

Illinois where the band will headline the Kankakee River Music Festival. The event will take place at the Bird Park Band Shelter from 1-7pm to benefit the Salvation Army for their Toy Shop program beneting children in need at Christmas. Admission is $8 plus a new toy. Wireless Soul will perform live at 4:00pm and 6:00pm with an autograph signing immediately following the 6:00pm show.

Wireless Soul recently opened for the legendary 60's band The Buckinghams, also from Chicago, at Northbrook Days as part of the Wireless Soul 2013 Summer Tour. The tour, which included 12 dates, included shows at Six Flags Great America, The DuPage County Fair, and Berwyn Route 66 Car Show where Wireless Soul performed to a crowd of over 10,000 people which broke a record for attendance in the 23 years of the event hosted by radio disc jockey Dick Biondi.

By the end of this tour Wireless Soul will have performed live at over 30 shows in just 1 year and they are only eleven years old! Wireless Soul is the youngest rock band to have ever performed live at the iconic Chicagoland venue Allstate Arena where bands like Guns N' Roses, Van Halen, and Def Leppard have performed.

Wireless Soul has been featured on 95.9FM The River in Illinois, and 95.1FM WIIL Rock in Wisconsin. This summer Wireless Soul beat out over 50 adult bands to be named one of the top 12 finalists in WIIL Rock's prestigious BANDEMONIUM 2013 competition. In September, on the Mackay in The Morning radio show on 95.9FM The River, eleven year old lead guitarist and vocalist Vince Minogue talked about meeting legendary rocker Vince Neil of Motley Crue and his meeting with Dave Mustaine of Megadeth which can be seen at Megadeth.com.

Wireless Soul plays popular rock music with an energetic live show headed up by lead guitarist and vocalist Vince Minogue, of Northbrook, who commands the stage with a stunning Dean diamond plate guitar. This guitar is 1 of only 100 that were produced to commemorate the 10,000 Razorback guitars that were made and sold over the history of the Dean company which originated in Chicago. Equally stunning is the master drumming style of Joe Cangelosi, of McHenry, on killer drums! A child prodigy who has been playing music since the age of four. Newest member, Mateyko Jazwinski of Cary rounds out this stellar line-up on bass. He has studied with world class bassist Victor Wooten. All three boys are eleven years old and play multiple instruments and write original music.
