South Shore trains moving again after package cleared

A suspicious package at the Van Buren stop halted trains on the Metra Electric and South Shore Lines for just over an hour during Wednesday's morning commute .

The Chicago Police Department's Bomb and Arson unit responded to the platform at Van Buren and Michigan around 7 a.m. after a suspicious package was found. By 8:30 a.m., trains were once again rolling.

The item was a cooler left on the platform.
