North Suburban Symphony opens concert season:

The North Suburban Symphony, a community orchestra based at Gorton Community Center, 400 E Illinois Road, Lake Forest, will present the first concert of its 25th anniversary season on Sunday, Oct. 6 at 4 p.m. Conducted by Music Director Ron Arden, the program, “Birth of an Orchestra,” will offer a reprise of the orchestra’s first concert 25 years ago. The program will include Dvorak’s Symphony No. 8, L’Arlesienne Suite No. 2 by Bizet, and Mozart’s Magic Flute Overture. Tickets cost $18 for adults, $10 for seniors/students and children under 12 are free with a paid adult. Tickets can be purchased at the door. Join the NSS on Nov. 17 for “Symphonic Explosion!”, an Orchestral Rock Event & Anniversary Party.
