Prospect completes sixth straight perfect MSL run
For the sixth straight season, Prospect’s girls golf team completed Mid-Suburban League dual meet play with an 11-0 record.
The Knights posted a 149-172 win on Thursday over host Barrington, which was the last team to defeat Prospect in 2007.
Leading the five-time defending MSL champs at the Bonnie-Dundee Golf Club in Carpentersville was senior Ally Scaccia, who shot a 2-under par 36.
She was followed by Kiley Walsh (36), Emma Menich (39) and Noreen Caporusso (40).
Leading the Fillies (10-1) were Renee Sulkar (39), Shivani Majmudar (41), freshman Allie Quinn 45 and sophomore Ashley Mallon (47).
Fremd d. Palatine: Fremd senior Dorothy Feng shot a 1-under par 35 at the Palatine Hills Golf Course to lead the Vikings to a 167-208 victory. Haezi Jung (420, Jaehee Hurr (45) and Jennifer Kim (45) rounded out the Fremd scoring.
Hersey d. Rolling Meadows: Hersey’s Lexi Heidkamp had the medalist honors with a 40 at Arlington Lakes as the Huskies won the meet 176-213.
Lindsay Perkins and Claire Schwaba each shot 44 for the Hersey while Megan Kopeny carded a 48.
Buffalo Grove d. Conant: Lauren Guiao (40), Courtney Meyer (41), Colleen Zickert (41) and Amber Guiao (43) led Buffalo Grove in its 165-192 victory at the par 37 Buffalo Grove Golf Club.
Carly Bryeans and Megan Nagorzanski led Conant with 46s.
Elk Grove d Lake Park: Marki Kaim (43), Sara Hartness (43) and Erin Walz (44) led Elk Grove to the 180-241 triumph at the Indian Lakes Golf Course.
