Lawmakers need a wake-up call on pensions
The pension plan for the state of Illinois without a solution to date cause me to wonder if anyone realizes the cost of interest to the state. Perhaps a solution may be for citizens to delay payment of their next tax bill as a wake-up call to our legislators of the disgust citizens have in the delay in solving our fiscal problem before we default on our debt, just as what happened to Detroit. Perhaps the union leaders need a wake-up call also.
