Lake Villa man missing since Friday

Police said they have no new leads in the search for a 33-year-old man who was reported missing from Lake Villa.

Lake Villa Police Lt. Dennis Geraty said the response from social media has been appreciative, but it has not helped locate Nicholas Steward, who has been missing since Friday.

According to his I-PASS transponder, Steward was last driving his white 2008 Saturn through the toll booth Touhy Toll Plaza while heading north on I-294, authorities said.

In addition, police said he was speaking with his employer at 5:30 p.m. A signal from his cellphone was detected in the 2700 block of South River Road in Des Plaines about 10:28 p.m. Friday, but it has not produced a signal since, police said.

Steward’s missing person report was filed with police Saturday morning, police said.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the Lake Villa Police Department at (847) 356-6106.
