Dual wins for Buffalo Grove, Prospect

Buffalo Grove proved quite at home at Olympic Pool in Arlington Heights, where the Bison will host home meets until their own pool’s renovations are complete.

The Bison earned a 103-82 victory over Elk Grove on Thursday.

Sarah Morosan won the 200-yard freestyle (2:03.04) and 100 free (55.11) in impressive times and had legs on both victorious free relays for Buffalo Grove.

The Bison also had winners in Alexa Jedryka (500 free, 5:49.37), Brina Wahout (200 IM, 2:40.73) and Amber Malzahn (diving, 147.00)

Elk Grove’s Simona Kurta won the 50 free (26.71) and 100 fly (1:01.58) and had a leg on the Grens’ winning medley realy. Elk Grove also had winners in Sara Lasovska in the 100 backstroke (1:09.40) and Erin Falejczyk in the 100 breast (1:19.14).

Prospect d. Rolling Meadows: The visiting Knights produced a dominant effort in winning 126-57.

Aside from a victory from Bailey Rowley of Rolling Meadows in the 100-yard butterfly (1:05.00), Prospect was a winner.

Macy Berkley won the 200 IM and 100 breast, Betsy Rozow won the 100 free and had legs on all three winning Prospect relays and junior Dana Liva won diving at 255.85.

Other Knights individual winners were Gracie Dix in the 50 free (27.07), Ellie McGough in the 500 free (5:44.08) and Abby Younger in the 100 back (1:09.36).
