Glendale Hts. man accused of burglary

A Glendale Heights man has been charged with burglarizing a home near Lombard Wednesday.

DuPage County Sheriff John E. Zaruba announced Thursday that Ernest Robinson, 34, of the 100 block of Waters Edge Drive, has been charged with one count of residential burglary and one count of attempted residential burglary.

About 8:40 a.m. Wednesday, the sheriff’s office received a report from a homeowner on Pineview Street in an unincorporated area near Lombard that someone tried to break into the residence.

Deputies checked the area but could not locate a suspect.

However, a few hours later, deputies received a call about a residential burglary on Meyers Road. Then the Lombard Police Department received a call about a suspicious person walking down the street with a TV.

Robinson was arrested and is currently being held in the DuPage County jail on $100,000 bail.
