Stevenson nets NSC Lake win

Grace Duffy delivered 7 kills, Khaila Donaldson added six, and Stevenson’s girls volleyball team picked up its first North Suburban Lake Division win of the season Wednesday.

The Patriots defeated Warren 25-15, 25-14 to improve to 8-4 and 1-1 in the NSC Lake.

Julia Osmond and Kara Maleski contributed 3 kills apiece for Stevenson, while Corissa Kurth served 2 aces. Alexa Bykowski lofted 14 assists, and Peyton Bykowski led the defense with 11 digs.

Warren’s Rachel Ziegler dished out 5 assists, and Jenna Walczak pounded 2 kills.

Antioch d. Wauconda: The Sequoits won 26-24, 25-21 to remain undefeated in North Suburban Prairie action, while improving to 9-3 overall.

Antioch was led by Marissa Grant (15 assists, 2 blocks, 6 digs, 7 service points, 1 ace, 1 kill), Regan Jordan (25 digs, 13 service points, 2 aces) and Elena Kelsh (6 kills, 9 digs, 6 service points).

Sara Sexton and Le Anne Sakowicz had 8 and 7 kills, respectively, for Wauconda.

Lakes d. Round Lake: The Eagles captured a 25-12, 25-10 win in North Suburban Prairie action, receiving 2 kills each from Megan Behrendt, McKenna Lahr, Abbey Buehler, Kelly Clendening and Krystal Hawks.

Lakes (10-1) also got 8 digs from Aly Bathery, 7 from Lahr and 6 each from Behrendt and Buehler. Behrendt also served 3 aces.

Vernon Hills d. North Chicago: Mia Polisky rang up 5 aces and 4 kills for the Cougars, who the NSC Prairie match 25-6, 25-8.

Sienna Spiglanin had 5 kills for Vernon Hills.
