Cigelnik’s 1-under leads Mundelein

Mundelein d. Zion-Benton: At Shepherd’s Crook, Bret Cigelnik shot a 1-under-par 34, and the visiting Mustangs (155) captured a North Suburban Lake Division win over the Zee-Bees (178).

Ryan Magee added a 37 for Mundelein, which also counted 42s from Brian Wiese and Tyler White.

Grayslake North d. Grant: At Renwood Golf Course, Scott Wonsil’s 41 earned medalist honors and led the Knights (173) to the nonconference victory.

Grayslake North also counted Kyle Baker’s 43, Christian DiBerardino’s 44 and Kyle Sagendorph’s 45.

Grant (196) got a 47 from Pat Nesterowicz.

Vernon Hills d. Lakes: At White Deer Run, the Cougars carded a winning 161 on their home course, as Ricky Schmidt and Tanner Fulton led the way with matching 39s.

Vernon Hills also received a 41 from Bo Manso and 42 from Justin Park.

Lakes (175) boasted medalist Mike Barry, who fired a 1-over-par 37.

Wauconda d. Antioch: At Countryside, Bryan Nee’s 44 and Annette Yandall’s 45 helped the Bulldogs (183) edge the Sequoits (185) in NSC Prairie action.

Wauconda also got 47s from Brad Efflandt and Pat Adams.

Antioch’s Andrew Gagnon was the medalist with a 42.

Stevenson d. Lake Zurich: At The Arboretum Club, Luke Feder fired a 36, Chris Krebs carded a 38 and Jason Gorde had a 39, as the Patriots shot a 153 on their home course to defeat the Bears (166).

Stevenson also counted Jerry Pan’s 40.

The only golfer to break 40 for Lake Zurich was Jacob Edwards, who came in with a 38.
