Elgin

Ÿ Timothy L. Davis, 47, of the 1700 block of Berkley Street, Elgin, was charged Monday with retail theft after he took 16 cans of Red Bull valued at $113.63 from a drugstore in the 600 block of Villa Street, according to court records. He was being held on $2,000 bail, and his next court date is Sept. 30.

Ÿ Tremaine C. Dungey, 21, of the 0-100 block of Hickory Court, Carpentersville, was charged Monday with obstructing identification to police after officers responded to a call in the 300 block of St. Charles Street, according to court documents. Dungey gave a false name and date of birth. He was being held on $2,500 bail, and his next court date is Sept. 23.

Kane County

Ÿ About $1,450 worth of assorted jewelry, including necklaces and earrings, were stolen between 8:50 and 10:10 a.m. Friday from a home in the 9N900 block of Trails End near Elgin, according to a sheriff’s report. A back window was forced open to gain access, the report said.
