14-year-old boy recovering after Chicago shooting

A 14-year-old Chicago boy is recovering after he was shot in the back outside a high school on the city’s southwest side.

The boy was shot just before 8 p.m. Thursday outside the Sarah E. Goode STEM Academy. He was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn.

Chicago Police say Friday that no one’s been arrested in the case and they aren’t sure if the teenager was a student at the school.

Investigators say they believe the shooting took place after an argument about gang affiliations.
