Chicago Sky scouting report

Atlanta Dream (17-15) at Chicago Sky (23-9)

When: 7:30 p.m., today

Where: Allstate Arena

TV: The U Too

Last time: On Wednesday, the Dream lost to the host Connecticut Sun, 78-77 and the Sky defeated the visiting Phoenix Mercury, 70-68.

Skinny: In the past, this game, the last home game of the regular season, would be a farewell to loyal Sky fans for a long off-season. This time, the Eastern Conference-leading Sky is using this game as one of its final tune-ups for its first playoff berth in franchise history. With some help, the Sky could even earn homecourt advantage throughout the playoffs. But that would require the Sky to win out while Minnesota would have to lose both of its remaining games, one of which is against the Sky…The Sky is flying high after Wednesday’s big buzzer-beating win over Phoenix. Star rookie Elena Delle Donne hit a 10-foot jumper as time expired. She had 18 points…The Dream has been in free-fall since the first month of the season. Once 10-1, Atlanta has been hurt by injuries to multiple players and will likely still be hobbling into the playoffs.

Next: Sky at Minnesota Lynx, 7 p.m., Saturday
