Marching band exhibition:

Marching bands from Woodland Elementary District 50’s Middle School, Warren Township High School and Gurnee Elementary District 56’s Viking Middle School will join forces to perform their marching routine in exhibition style at 7 p.m., Wednesday, Sept. 18. The event is at the Warren Township High School Stadium O’Plaine campus, 500 N. O’Plaine Road, Gurnee. Admission is free to attend the event. Students are asking for cash donations to literally “Fill the Drums” to help raise funds for the Warren Township Food Pantry. This year’s show is themed, “Ahoy Mateys”. This annual exhibition began as a way to support those affected by Hurricane Katrina in 2005. Each year, Gurnee’s marching bands come together to perform for friends, families and the community.
