Woodlands Academy expanding in Lake Forest

Lake Forest has approved Phase II of Woodlands Academy of the Sacred Heart’s master development plan, which includes tearing down Old Main, making new athletic fields and additional parking and building a walking path, the school has announced. Woodlands Academy, a Catholic college prep school for girls, has been in Lake Forest since 1904 and enrolls students from all over Lake County. “Depending on how fast the grass grows, we anticipate playing field hockey on our new field a year from now or, at the latest, playing soccer and softball on our new fields in the spring of 2015,” said Head of School Gerald Grossman.
