Cops: Lisle teen downloaded child pornography

A Lisle teen was charged with possessing child pornography after a six-month investigation, police said Thursday.

Brady O'Brien, 17, of the 6400 block of Berkshire Court, turned himself over to police Tuesday and was released on a $2,000 bond. He has been charged as an adult with two counts of felony child pornography possession.

Lisle Police Watch Cmdr. Ron Wilke said the investigation began in March based on a tip from federal authorities. The referral sparked an “extensive” investigation by a local detective trained in computer forensics, he said.

O'Brien is accused of downloading at least two child pornography images to a computer, court records show. He is scheduled to appear in DuPage County court Oct. 8.
