Naperville police searching for diamond thieves

Naperville police say three people were seen on security footage leaving a jewelry store with stolen loose diamonds.

Police said the theft occurred about noon Monday, Aug. 26 from the Precious Fine Jewelry store on the 2800 block of Showplace Drive near Route 59 and 95th Street.

Three people entered the store, distracted the employee and left with an unspecified amount of loose diamonds, authorities said.

The suspects are described as a Hispanic man between 20 and 25 years old standing about 5 feet tall and weighing roughly 150 pounds and two Hispanic women between 20 and 25 years old, both slightly taller than the man and appearing as if they weighed about 130 pounds. Naperville Crime Stoppers is offering a reward of up to $1,000 for information leading to the arrest of any or all of the people suspected of stealing the diamonds.

Anyone who saw the theft occur or has information about the case is asked to place an anonymous call to Crime Stoppers at (630) 420-6006.
