Villa Park man charged with burglary
A Villa Park man has been charged with burglary after police say they caught him in the back lot of a Carol Stream business early Tuesday morning.
Nicholas Prendergast, 26, of the 200 block of Ardmore Ave., also was charged with one count of possession of burglary tools and possession of cannabis, officials said.
DuPage County sheriff’s deputies responded to an alarm at Thorne Electric on St. Charles Road in Carol Stream, authorities said, and when they arrived, they noticed a cut fence and found Prendergast in the back lot.
