Paranormal TV program visits old home in eastern Indiana

NEW CASTLE, Ind. — Travel Channel producers have visited an old home in eastern Indiana to film a segment for a program called “Ghost Adventures” that explores paranormal activity.

Production manager Joe Mustachio tells The Courier-Times the Henry County home is of interest because it may have been a stop on the Underground Railroad and a murder may have occurred there in the early 1900s.

Show production coordinator Dan Rohn says, “The history of this place made us want to find out more.”

But County Historian Richard Ratcliff says the producers might have visited the wrong house. He believes the family murder the producers believe happened at the home actually occurred at another residence down the road.

Ratcliff also expressed skepticism about whether the house played a role in the Underground Railroad.
