Schaumburg store sells $1 million winning lottery ticket

A Schaumburg store sold a winning $1 million ticket for Saturday night's Powerball drawing, Illinois Lottery officials said Monday.

The winner, who has yet to come forward, purchased the winning Quick Pick ticket at The Atrium Shop, 1501 Woodfield Road, and matched the first five numbers — 12 — 17 — 25 — 45 — 59 — (19) — in the drawing.

The Atrium Shop will receive a $10,000 bonus, 1 percent of the jackpot amount, for selling a winning ticket, according to the lottery.

The Powerball drawing takes place Wednesday and Saturday nights at 9:59 p.m. The estimated jackpot for this Wednesday is $116 million.
