Fairfield Road to close next month
The Lake County Division of Transportation will close Fairfield Road to through traffic from Petite Lake Road to Route 132 beginning at 6 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 5, for 14 calendar days. The closure is necessary for “full depth reclamation,” a pavement rehabilitation process that is new to Lake County. It consists of recycling the current road materials, which will be used for the base layer of the resurfacing portion of this project. The project will also include the installation of wider bicycle friendly shoulders, new curbs and gutters and some ditch work. The signed detour route for the Fairfield Road closure will be Petite Lake Road to Route 59 to Route 132. Local traffic will have access from Route 132.
