Two hospitalized in Round Lake Beach crash
Two people were hospitalized after a crash Saturday afternoon at Route 83 and Millstone Drive in Round Lake Beach.
The Greater Round Lake Fire Protection District received a call about a two-vehicle accident at 2:48 p.m., said Capt. Bill Rohrs.
Two passengers from the same vehicle were transported to Advocate Condell Medical Center in Libertyville.
Rohrs could not comment on the severity of their injuries, what caused the crash or if anyone had been cited in the accident.
He said the investigation in ongoing and the Lake County major Crash Assistance Team is involved.
Police and fire personnel were on the scene for more than four hours with the road reduced to one-lane for a few hours while crews worked, he said.
Round Lake Police could not be reached for comment on Saturday night.
