Mt. Prospect native to appear on 'Extreme Cougar Wives'

Sheri Winkelmann is 50. Her fiance, Desmond Huey, is 26.

Their unconventional love story will be featured on Wednesday night's TLC reality show “Extreme Cougar Wives.” It airs at 8:30 p.m., and the episode is titled “This Cougar is Very Dangerous.”

Winkelmann, who grew up in Mount Prospect, said she's dated younger men before but found a soul connection with Huey, despite their age difference.

“I'm a young 50, and Desmond's an old soul,” she told the ladies on “The View” Aug. 5. “We like to do a lot of the same things. I'm into healthy lifestyle and extreme sports. We don't drink and go to clubs. There's a real soul connection here that's beyond age.”

The two met at a self development workshop by Tony Robbins called “Date with Destiny.”

Winkelmann, an actress and celebrity impersonator who runs a corporate entertainment business in Chicago, said they haven't yet set a wedding date.

While she still has a condo in Palatine, they now live together in Chicago.
