Music changes at Aurora’s Fiestas Patrias Festival

Latin musicians Paquita La Del Barrio and Alfredo Bojorquez (aka “El Puma”) are replacing Joan Sebastian and Ramón Ayala, who had to cancel their upcoming performance on Friday, Sept. 13, at RiverEdge Park in Aurora. The Sebastian and Ayala concert was to have kicked off Aurora’s weekend Fiestas Patrias Festival, so RiverEdge presenters sought to find replacement artists.

“We didn’t want to let everyone down by just canceling the concert all together,” said RiverEdge Park President and CEO Tim Rater in a statement. “We got a lot of input from partners in the Hispanic community about potential shows and we were lucky enough to get Paquita as the headliner and El Puma to start the evening.”

Tickets are $30 to $75. Sebastian/Ayala ticket buyers can arrange for refunds or exchanges for the Paquita concert by contacting a RiverEdge Park box office in person at 23 E. Galena Blvd., Aurora, or by calling (630) 896-6666. For more information, visit ahcc-il.com/fiestas-patrias or riveredgeaurora.com.
