Dining events: Sushi + now open in Aurora

Sushi + opens

A new rotary sushi bar opened recently in Aurora. Sushi + offers a “Kaiten”-style experience with a refrigerated conveyor belt system that delivers food to every table. The traditional Japanese food is priced between $1.25 and $6.50, with options like the adventure sushi pizza — a crispy rice topped with hirame, avocado, mango, onion, cilantro, mayo, tomato and cheese — for $5.50. Or the Diablo roll — a shrimp tempura, spicy tako, spicy tuna, avocado, mango, scallions and tobiko — for $6.50.

Grilling 101

Learn grilling from the experts at Weber Grill's school from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday, Aug. 17. The menu includes roasted summer potatoes with rosemary and orange; cedar-planked scallops with grilled corn salad; and strip steaks topped with heirloom tomatoes and blue cheese vinaigrette. $85 per person. Registration is required.
