Elgin man was victim of South Elgin crash
Orlando Scott Beville was identified Saturday as the victim who died after a car struck a tree in South Elgin.
Beville, of the 0-100 block of south Crystal in Elgin, was 44. The accident is still under investigation, said Kane County Coroner Rob Russell.
The crash happened Friday afternoon near the intersection of Route 31 and Woodridge Circle. South Elgin and Countryside Fire Protection District officials said it took about 90 minutes to extricate Beville due to the extent of the damage. No other vehicles appeared to be involved, Russell said.
