(Park Ridge)-TMA today announced the launch of its Executive Leadership Institute with coursework slated to begin in October 2013 at TMA Headquarters in Park Ridge. The Institute is designed to enhance the knowledge, skills, and abilities of “Next Generation” leaders who anticipate taking on top-level leadership roles in their organization. The learning environment includes classroom lecture and discussion, small-group exercises, a 360° Feedback component, self-assessments, a capstone project, coaching, and mentoring.

“It is critical we train the current and future leaders of manufacturing in Illinois,” stated TMA Chairman Zach Mottl. “American Manufacturing is on the rebound and our companies need to be in alignment with developments in advanced manufacturing and have the tools in hand to manage modern-day workforces and logistics,” he added.

With close to 100 years of experience, TMA is the leading authority in educating

It was designed by successful manufacturing executives, for successful manufacturing executives. Participants will be exposed to key concepts in all major business functions of a manufacturing company. A

challenging curriculum with application to the manufacturing world provides a unique learning experience. Participants will be able to put new ideas into action after leaving each monthly session.

“We want to create a hands-on approach to learning for our manufacturing leaders,” said TMA Director of Education Patrick Osborne. “The ideal participant is a key employee currently in a leadership role who is ready to be challenged to go to the next level.”

About TMA: 8 small manufacturing companies who thought they could better themselves by associating with one another founded TMA in 1925. Through the years, members established programs and services that would help their businesses grow and prosper, train their employees, and provide medical and retirement benefits. As a result of these efforts, TMA has grown into a 1,000 member not-for-profit organization representing almost 30,000 employees of precision manufacturing and supplier companies throughout Illinois.
