Man's body found in Fox River

A man's body was found floating in the Fox River in Aurora Tuesday afternoon in what police describe as an apparent drowning.

A person riding a bike over the Galena Boulevard Bridge in downtown Aurora called 911 just after 2 p.m., police said.

The Aurora Fire Department recovered the body of the victim, believed to be a 38-year-old man. His identification is being withheld, pending notification of family.

There were no signs of trauma, and police say they're not sure how the man entered the water.

Members of the Kane County coroner's office plan to do an autopsy Wednesday morning.
