Itasca Library Present Virtual Trip to Italy

A virtual tour of Italy will take place during “A Taste of Italy” from 7 to 8:30 p.m., Thursday, Aug. 15 at the Itasca Community Library, 500 W Irving Park Rd, Itasca.

Travelers Susan Miura and Patt Nicholls will explore the splendor of Venice, Tuscany, Rome, the lovely sites on the Amalfi Coast, the mysteries of Pompeii and breathtaking Calabria. Colorful slides depict various Italian regions and some of the foods for which they are known. Audience members will see The Coliseum, Michelangelo's David, Ancient Ruins, The Vatican, Mt. Vesuvius, Venice, Florence, The Spanish Steps and more. A snack of Italian cheeses and sweets will be included in this virtual journey of taste and beauty.
