Flaming Grill and Buffet closes in Rolling Meadows
After being open less than a year, Flaming Grill and Buffet in Rolling Meadows has closed.
The Asian buffet that served a mixture of Japanese and Chinese cuisine opened in February 2013 in the former Old Country Buffet location at 1440 Golf Road.
It closed July 30, said City Manager Barry Krumstok, due to an issue between the tenant and owner.
The owner is already looking for a new tenant and communicating with village officials, he said.
“Hopefully it will be filled quickly, but it all comes back to the owners,” Krumstock said.
Old Country Buffet closed in that location in March 2012 after the parent company filed for bankruptcy for a third time since 2008.
