Pitching matchups: The White Sox’ Jose Quintana (5-3) vs. Andy Pettitte (7-8) Monday; Chris Sale (6-11) vs. Hiroki Kuroda (10-6) Tuesday; Hector Santiago (3-7) vs. CC Sabathia (9-10) Wednesday. All games 7:10 p.m.

At a glance: The White Sox have dropped 10 straight, their longest losing streak since 1976. The Yankees have “penciled” Alex Rodriguez’s name into Monday night’s starting lineup. This is the White Sox’ first meeting of the year against New York. They were 5-2 vs. the Yankees last season. Adam Dunn was 7-for-13 with 1 home run and 1 RBI in the Sox’ three-game weekend series at Detroit. He’s batting .226, his highest average since the second game of the season. Paul Konerko homered Sunday for the first time since June 20. Outfielder Avisail Garcia, acquired from the Tigers in last week’s three-way trade that sent Jake Peavy to the Red Sox, is batting .286 (4-for-14) with 1 home run and 4 RBI in four games with Class AAA Charlotte. He could be joining the White Sox on this nine-game homestand.
