Killer sentenced to 57 years for car wash murder

A Cook County judge has sentenced a Chicago man to 57 years in prison for the 2010 murder of a car wash attendant.

Prosecutors say 42-year-old Marcus Gordon was sentenced Wednesday. Jurors convicted him in April of first-degree murder in the death of 43-year-old Cesar Rosales.

Prosecutors say Gordon was having his sedan washed when he got into a fight with workers at a Chicago Citgo service station. Officials say Gordon left the car wash and returned about a half-hour later with a handgun. They say he shot Rosales in the back while he was drying a vehicle.

Authorities say the shooting was captured on a security camera.
